Permission to Shoot

To hunt rabbit, fox or hare on PTPZ land, you must have a valid firearms licence and a Permission to Shoot.

Sustainable Timber Tasmania reserves the right to deny an application for a Permission to Shoot if the applicant has been identified and charged for not having a valid firearms licence under the Firearms Act 1996 and other charges of stealing, unlawful possession, trespass and relevant traffic offences.

A Permission to Shoot costs $11.00 and allows the applicant to go hunting during daylight hours on PTPZ land. A Permission to Shoot is not refundable under any circumstances.

During the Permission to Shoot online application, you will be asked to:

  • Step 1 -  Select an area you wish to receive a hunting map for;

  • Step 2 - Read and accept our privacy statement and register your details;

  • Step 3 - Read and accept our terms and conditions then submit your payment details

  • Step 4 - Review and complete the online payment for your Permission to Shoot; and
